This acrylic painting of Paris' Jardin Du Luxembourg is the third painted this year after a short visit to the wonderful city. 
 
It's on a shallow canvas 60 x 60 cm, framed in a handpainted white washed floating frame. 
 
I love the Parisian gardens, with their formality, and the light through the trees. So many were popular places for lunchtime breaks and picnics. Here I have layered colour and marks whilst allowing my brushstrokes to evoke the feeling of the place.
